A Triad of Insights
Shaping a Transformative Foundation
01
The Problem
College graduates venture into a challenging world without the guidance of trusted mentors and a robust professional network. Often, they are left to accept advice from unqualified sources. This gap cuts deepest in underserved communities.
02
The Questions
How many graduates truly understand how to invest their first paycheck? How many know what portion of their income to save, or why it matters? How many would benefit from active, personalized financial coaching in the months they need it most?
03
The Moment
The months bridging college and work are where financial habits, professional identity, and long-term trajectory are actually set. That transition from a student's final semester through their first six months of professional life is exactly where intentional support matters most.
How It All Started
Thus Emerged The Dissinger Foundation
A third realization changed everything. What if mentorship and financial education could be delivered precisely at the moment they are most needed, in the twelve months when a young person is deciding who they are going to be professionally and financially?
The one-year structure is intentional. It is a focused, high-touch year of active coaching and preparation: a living program that walks alongside each Fellow from their final semester of college through their first six months of professional life.
The vehicle for that growth is the mentorship, personalized curriculum, and $2,000 starter fund working together across that twelve-month window. Thus emerged The Dissinger Foundation, with its mission to disrupt the cycle of poverty through exceptional mentorship and targeted financial education.
The Program
The Dissinger Fellowship
One Focused Year.
The Fellowship runs December 2026 through November 2027: a single, concentrated year built around the most consequential transition of a young person's early life.
$2,000 Starter Fund
Each Dissinger Fellow receives a starter fund to support their transition into the workforce, removing financial barriers at the exact moment they matter most.
Personalized Curriculum
A Launch Profile completed at the start of the Fellowship informs a custom curriculum covering financial literacy, professional identity, and long-term planning.
Required Monthly Meetings
Foundation leadership stays actively engaged throughout the year, with required monthly meetings that keep each Fellow accountable, supported, and on track.
